Von Miller will miss the entire season, but the Buffalo Bills remain favorites to win it all

Buffalo Bills

With the 2022 NFL season underway, the Buffalo Bills have quickly become one of the favorites to win both the AFC Championship and even the Super Bowl. After signing several key free agents in the off-season and making some savvy trades for talent, this team looks primed for success.

Led by their strong offense, which is anchored by quarterback Josh Allen and his impressive receiving of Stefon Diggs, the Bills have already put up points against some tough competition. On defense, they are just as formidable, with a deep rotation of linebackers and defensive backs that can shut down opposing teams’ passing games. Their run defense has also been impressive thus far in 2022.

In short, it’s easy to see why many experts believe Buffalo may be headed for big things this year.

The Odds Favor the Bills

The Buffalo Bills are the favorites to win the AFC Championship and Super Bowl this season, meaning many bettors are opting for them since it seems like an easy win. According to sportsbooks in Las Vegas, the Bills have a 200-1 chance of winning the AFC Championship and a 350-1 chance of winning the Super Bowl. This makes them one of the most attractive bets on the board, as they offer good odds despite being favored to win.

Von Miller Out

The Buffalo Bills are favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, but their chances have taken a big hit with star linebacker Von Miller suffering a season-ending injury. Miller was the team’s leader on defense, and his loss will be felt heavily in the locker room.

The 33-year-old linebacker was the heart and soul of Buffalo’s defensive unit, racking up eight quarterback sacks and 21 tackles this season.

The injury required surgery that effectively ended his 2022 campaign prematurely.

“Don’t feel sorry for me. I am excited for the opportunity to show my teammates how strong I am and how hard I work. I love and appreciate you. All love and respect to everyone,” Miller said after undergoing surgery.

Allen mentioned that they will miss Miller for the remainder of the season but will lean on the locker room, “He’s doing everything he can to help this team win football games,” Allen added. “Obviously that’s going to be a different role for him now. But make no mistake about it, we’re going to miss him. He’s definitely a difference maker on the field, but we’ve got some guys that will step up and try to fill those roles as best as possible.Again, we’re all keeping him in our hearts and our thoughts right now, and hopefully, we can get him back soon and love up on him and show him how much he means to us.

“There is going to be adversity every step of the way,” Allen said. “Luckily, we’ve got the guys that we do in this locker room … To use leadership and to go out there and, like Von says, ‘Don’t blink.’ … Our main focus right now is trying to win. That’s our mindset. That’s going to be our mindset going forward. Just win every week.”

Last March, Von Miller signed a six-year contract with the Buffalo Bills in exchange for $120 million.

The eight-time Pro Bowl selection began his career with the Denver Broncos in 2011; midway through the 2021 season, he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, the team with which he won his second Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Josh Allen breaks records.

Josh Allen is experiencing one of his best seasons, becoming the first player in NFL history with three seasons of 25 passing TDs and five rushing scores.

In addition, Allen does not lose focus and tries to lead the team to maintain the winning streak. “We know these games that are coming up, they matter,” Allen said. “The ones in December and January, they matter. We’ve got to find ways to go win some football games.”
