‘Ahalkalakets’ last loss was by unanimous decision against Islam Makhachev in April 2019. 

He comes into the fight with a record of 18-2 with 7 knockouts and 5 submissions.

Tsarukyan feels confident and believes that he will be able to dominate Gamrot completely. 

In an interview with UFC.com, the fighter said. 

“I want to show everybody that the young generation is coming and that a young guy like me can beat everybody in this division,” Tsarukyan told UFC.com.

 “They’ve got to watch my fight to understand that I’m the best in this division, and I’m the youngest contender for this title. I want to get this title as soon as possible.

“It feels special. In my last fights, I didn’t have a lot of interviews like I do now. 

Now everyone is focused on me, and I like this,” Tsarukyan said. “People started talking about me after my debut, and now I have a good win streak, and I beat everybody after [my debut]. 

I deserve it to be in the main event.”

‘Ahalkalakets’ also confessed that it was challenging to find a rival, as it seems that the other fighters are afraid of him.

 “Because everybody is scared of me, my techniques, my skills. 

I can do everything during the fight, and that’s why. They don’t know what they can do during the fight,” Tsarukyan said.

 “My conditioning is good, I’m strong, I’m sharp, and my skills are good. That’s why they know they are going to lose.”

Gamrot, who is known as ‘Gamer’ is 31 years old and will be looking for his fourth consecutive victory after losing in his debut in the UFC by a split decision against Guram Kutateladze.

 But after that setback, he went on a winning streak against Scott Holtzman, veteran Jeremy Stephens, and Carlos Diego Ferreira. 

He comes into the fight with a record of 20-1 with 7 knockouts and 5 submissions.

‘Gamer’ knows that things against Tsarukyan will not be easy.

 “This is going to be the biggest test for me but I’m super ready and super excited. 

I want to step into the Octagon and show that I’m a different animal than him,” Gamrot told UFC.com. 

“I am dangerous as a striker and in wrestling and jiu-jitsu, but I don’t want to finish the fight too early.

“This Saturday night, I want to show the best version of my life,” Gamrot said. “I’m used to being a champion. 

I’m used to the pressure. Fighting five rounds is my favorite distance, and I am for sure in my prime. Not just physically, but also mentally.”
