Le Mans is a challenging circuit

The Italian Enea Bastianini of Ducati Desmosedici GP21, third in the MotoGP World Championship classification, has recognized that at the Le Man’s circuit, he hopes to find the sensations that he lost in Jerez.

“I would like to find those sensations with the bike that we lost a bit in Jerez; let’s say we would like to go back to being the one we were in Portimao, where only the result was adverse to us,” said the Italian.

“Le Mans is a rather unusual circuit, but a very good one in any case, although both the track and its conditions are a key variable usually due to weather conditions, but hopefully this time it will be different,” he said. Bastianini in his team’s press release.

KTM feels confident

The Tech3 KTM Factory Racing team can be said to have a home-field advantage by racing in France. Hervé Poncharal, the owner of the team, affirms that his team feels confident and enthusiastic.

“After a tough Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez for Tech3 KTM Factory Racing, we are now very excited to head to the familiar land of Le Mans for the French GP, our home race,” said Poncharal, adding.

“Remy Gardner is coming off a challenging race where he had to ride a bike with only one wing and put in a great effort despite the difficulty.

Unfortunately, Raúl Fernández had to miss a second race due to a right-hand injury sustained in Portimão.

I am sure that the two newcomers will be fit and motivated for the weekend ahead at Le Mans. The Bugatti circuit offers a layout that is well suited to both the KTM RC16 and the driving style of our pilots”.

Poncharal concluded by saying that a weekend of sunshine and good weather is expected in an official statement.

“The weather always spices things up at Le Mans, but this time it looks like we are in for a sunny week, which will help our newcomers to continue to progress in the MotoGP class.”
