Canelo Vs Golovkin 3 – Analysis and Odds

The long-awaited third fight between Canelo Alvarez Vs Gennady Golovkin 3 is finally happening. The first fight between the two boxing giants ended in a draw, while the second match was a majority victory for Alvarez. This time, both fighters are determined to come out on top. The question is, who will prevail?

For years, Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin have been nurturing a rivalry that has included questionable decisions by the judges, accusations of doping, and a long list of insults and provocations that continues to grow.

This September 17, the rivalry between the two boxers is expected to come to an end, and it will be determined who is the best pound for pound in a trilogy that at the moment belongs to Canelo.

In an interview for Matchroom Boxing, Canelo anticipated that, despite the challenge that Golovkin represents, the fight will not be decided by the judges’ decision but will end before the 12th round.

“I always prepare for the best fighters available. I think it will be a great fight; my goal is to finish the fight before the 12th round″, he explained.

“I can not lose. This fight will be a great victory for me. I think it will be a difficult fight in every round, but I will finish the fight in the last rounds, the 9th, 10th, 11th, somewhere.” I manifest confident Canelo.

Analysis of the fight – who will win, how it will go down.

Despite showing himself trusting, Canelo praised his rival. “He is a complicated fighter. He is strong, he is intelligent, he is one of the best in history, and our styles are perfect for a fight.

I think I am more mature, stronger, have more experience, and am at my best. I think that will be the difference,” sentenced the 32-year-old fighter.

Canelo also expressed what bothers him the most about GGG. “He always says that I am not a good champion, that I am a shame for my country.

That’s why I’m angry with him because when he’s in front of me, he doesn’t say anything like that.”

Finally, the Mexican boxer confessed that he had no intention of a third fight but that the pressure from the public was stronger.

“I think we had two good fights. People want the third fight with Golovkin. For me, the second fight was the end; it was enough. But people want to know who is better, me or Golovkin,” Alvarez said.

Golovkin’s answer

Golovkin has not remained silent in the face of Canelo’s statements, and he showed his position in Teddy Atlas’s The Fight.

“For me, it’s just another fight, albeit with an outstanding fighter and a very interesting fighter. It’s going to be interesting, but again, nothing personal.

Let’s take my opponent against Dmitry Bivol; there was nothing personal in that fight; it was just boxing.

“The same here for me. It’s just business, just boxing. I don’t see any reason to go into personal details about it; it’s not worth it.

The way he has behaved (Canelo) for the last four years, I don’t want to lower myself to their level.

“If you can’t talk boxing and communicate with your opponent without insulting them, without using obscenities or talking trash while saying obscene words, it’s not worth communicating with that opponent.

We have a saying that can be translated verbatim. ‘A bee couldn’t explain to a fly that honey is better than shit.’ It’s just not worth trying to do that.”

Odds and bets for each fighter

Gennady Golovkin 4.75

Canelo is emerging as the favorite, but he is coming off a somewhat surprising loss to Dmitry Bivol by unanimous decision, so it seems that he is not in his best shape.

Although many attributes that, Canelo was out of his element since he was fighting out of his weight. For the fight with GGG, it is expected that he will show a similar performance to previous contests where he managed to unify championships.

For his part, Golovkin has barely been active four times, all of them victories. However, his advanced age of 40 raises questions about his ability to take on one of the best fighters.

But don’t rule out GGG, as the fighter has little to lose, his career is in the final stretch, and he can take bigger risks.

On the other hand, the Kazakh maintains his position that he won the two previous combats and comes full of confidence to reaffirm once and for all that he is better than Canelo.
